2017-2018 Registration Policies

Tuition and Payments

Upon registration the first and last month’s tuition is due along with a $20 dollar registration fee, which will be non-refundable.
There will be 8 payments due, each payment is due the 1st class of every month; if payment is not received by the 9th of the month, you will be charged a $10 dollar late fee. This policy will be strictly enforced
The last payment is in April and is a combination of April and May’s tuition
Any returned checks will be subjected to a $30 returned check fee, and any account showing two or more returned checks will be required to pay by credit card or cash
After May 15, 2018 no checks will be accepted for any recital purchases.
There will be a 10% discount if tuition is paid in full for the year by September 15, 2017 (Cannot be combined with any
other discount
)
Tuition will not be prorated for missed classes, holidays or school closures.
All tuition, costume, and competition fees MUST be paid in full before a student is permitted to participate in any performance or before you may purchase tickets to the performances.

Refunds

Students may receive a full refund for June tuition only during the first three weeks of classes, beyond that time, no refunds will be issued. Payments are not transferable to other family members.
For payments made in full, no refunds will be made after December 1, 2017.

Absences

If your child will be missing a class, please call before the class starts to let the teacher know
Students are entitled to make up a missed class; this must be done within 4 weeks of the missed class, by appointment only.

Dance Attire and Etiquette- STRICTLY ENFORCED!

Please see registration confirmation form for dance attire.
Cell phones, chewing gum, and jewelry will not be permitted in class.
No street clothes or street sneakers permitted in the classrooms.

Costumes

Costume deposits are due with October 1st tuition payment; the balance of the costume order will be due with the December’s tuition payment.
Once costumes orders are placed by BDA, (November 2017) there are no refunds beyond this date, and must be paid in full, no exceptions. No costume will be ordered without a paid costume deposit.
Costume prices are $85 and up. Tights for recreational students are included. Students will be measured in October. We do
leave room for growth when ordering the costumes. Costumes are not custom made; BDA is not responsible for alterations. If
a costume needs to be ordered after this date, (for any reason) there will be an additional $20.00 fee, plus we cannot
guarantee costume delivery.

Recital

Dates for the recital will be announced during the year
Dates for non-refundable advanced ticket sales for assigned seating will be posted. We are not responsible for lost or forgotten tickets.
We cannot guarantee families with more than one child or children taking multiple classes will be in the same recital.

Parents of Our Younger Students

Parents of children ages 2 through 4 must remain in the lobby the entire class.
